Plug Search 4 For Logic Pro Released

Calling all Logic Pro users, one third party developer has provided a lifeline to Logic Pro functionality falling behind competing DAWs such as Cubase Pro 13, Pro Tools Ultimate, and Ableton 12 Suite.

Introducing Plug Search 4 by Speakerfood

This third party add on for Logic Pro on Mac will change your music production life.

I have been using Plug Search 3 daily for close to a year and version 4 builds on this simple yet powerful software tool.

Plug Search 4 runs in background continuously and is accessible via the mac menu bar.

The most impressive addition to Plug Search 4 is the ability to finally, thank the Logic Pro deities, be able to search tracks within your Logic Pro sessions.

This is a massive time saver and one feature alone that justifies purchase price of $30.00.

Another welcome addition is the customizable I/O manager. Which allows you to save I/O presets across projects. Providing a welcome solution to the long standing issue that the default I/O manager in Logic was a global setting applied to all Logic Pro projects regards of the actual I/O routing contained within the project. No more BRASS Instruments accidentally going to your STRINGS Instruments bus and vice versa. Which switching between your current template and templates from the past. Thank the universe.

They also have a Bundle of all three of their products.

Totally worth it.

I plan to write more in the coming weeks about my experience using both Plug Search 4 and Speakerfoods other products.

In addition check out the Plug Search integration/collaboration withe Art Conductor and METAGRID. Both are currently new additions to my workflow. See YOUR IPAD IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARTICULATIONS NOW.

Rinus Aarts you are my hero and have inspired me to give Logic Pro another shot at being my Main Daw for the long term.

A little bit about Rinus and his inspiration behind crafting Plug Search and it’s related products:

“… and this will be familiar to most of you – it (Logic Pro) also lacks some basic functionality that has been available for other DAW’s for years.”

Sorry Ableton 12 taking a break from you this weekend. Maybe….

Apple Should really just considering hiring Rinus to manage Logic Pro for Mac development from here on out. To integrate all of the functions found in Plug Search 4 and it’s related Speakerfood products into the Logic Pro for Mac software natively.
