WWDC 2023 Predictions

This year’s WWDC is sure to be one of the most important in Apple’s history. A legacy defining event for CEO Tim Cook and COO Jeff Williams, with the annoucment of the new Apple Reality Pro headset and rOS or xrOS operating system.

The first major product additions to Apple’s lineup since the iPhone announcement at WWDC 2007 and iPad announcement at WWDC 2010.

In addition to the usual slate of annual Apple Ecosystem updates for all of its platforms. A focus on Services is sure to buttress the event. With massive changes being made to Apple’s Pro Apps ecosystem, shifting to subscription based software a la Adobe Creative Cloud and the rebrand of their Machine Learning (ML) marketing to Artificial Intelligence (AI) to stay in line with their competitors, namely Microsoft (Chat GPT Powered Bing Search, and Microsoft 365 Copilot and Google (Bard and Workspace suite of AI integrations).
