Black Friday 2023 has passed but in many ways is still with us as sales linger on through the holiday weekend.

Also, make note of the savings calculations. That’s really the way to think about making these purchases, how much are you saving vs. what would you have to spend compared to if you bought them at any other time during the year.
With software I view the sales price as the real value of the product. So it’s worth picking up a few tools you’ll use throughout the year.
If you can only pick up one item on my list I’d say go with the Pro Tool Ultimate subscription if your current plan is close to expiring, renewing or if you don’t currently have a valid Pro Tools Ultimate license. Even if you work primarily in another DAW to compose and produce music i.e. Cubase, Logic, Reaper, Ableton. Having a copy of Pro Tools Ultimate never hurts. Most music ends up in Pro Tools at some point in the production chain. My current Pro Tools Ultimate plan expires in December 2023. So the sale made sense for me to participate in. If you just renewed your plan within the last three months or so and don’t have a need for a second license. You won’t benefit as much from the Black Friday sales price.
Outside of the Pro Tool Ultimate subscription I’d go with Seventh Heaven Professional as my Black Friday pick this year.
It’s an essential reverb used across all genres of music and by some of the biggest and best composers, producers and mixers in the industry. If you’re an assistant, score tech, additional writer or a busy composer you’ll be sure to come across it on projects.
